Overview
Adblock Plus is an internet accountability and monitoring app that lets you control what kinds of advertisements you see online. It can be used to restrict access to hazardous websites, and works to remove the temptation to engage in social media while you’re supposed to be working.

Pros
Adblock Plus isn’t just an internet accountability application. It also works to remove annoying ads from the websites that you use every day. This can aid employee productivity by increasing the amount of time they spend on the websites they need to use, and limit distractions that might tempt them away from productive sites.
Another advantage of Adblock Plus is the ability to disable social media buttons. Social media buttons are found on nearly every website these days, and they serve as a constant reminder that social media is just a click away. Social media sites can be powerful tools for business and a great way to stay in touch with friends, but they can easily get in the way of productivity in the workplace or at home.

Cons
Adblock Plus is not the most stringent internet accountability and monitoring software we found. Many of the features in this software are designed to block ads, rather than monitor what kind of websites your workers or family are using. Therefore, it doesn’t do as good of a job controling access to dangerous or harmful sites as some of the other internet software we reviewed.
Furthermore, it doesn’t include any tracking functions, so you won’t be able to see what kind of sites were visited, or how much time was spent on those websites. As a result, it’s lacking many of the features that we expect from the best internet accountability and internet monitoring software applications.
Moreover, the program also has features that allow users to disable tracking done by other websites. This means that it could, in theory, be used to block other more intensive internet monitoring and tracking software that you might use in your home or place of business.
Verdict
Adblock Plus is a good option if your family or workers are generally good about their internet behavior, but sometimes get tempted by ads that lead to malicious sites. It’s the best option for people who want the least invasive and restrictive internet monitoring software possible, while at the same time preventing distractions and keeping your workers or families on target. As a result, it’s best for very specific applications and uses, but isn’t the best option for most users.
